Fulham manager Gaute Haugenes was delighted to see his side progress
to the semi-finals of the AXA Women’s FA Cup after their convincing
4-0 victory over Everton at Marine AFC this afternoon.
The London side took a slender 1-0 lead into the break when Norwegian
international MargunnHaugenes converted from the spot after Marieanne

But in the second half Fulham upped the tempo and Haugenes grabbed her
second 10 minutes after the re-start.
Pettersen opened her account on 73 minutes after some neat play down the
centre split the home defence to put her clean through and she rounded
keeper Carly Timmins to slot home.
The Norway striker grabbed her second and Fulham’s fourth five minutes
from time when she pounced after Timmins failed to hold onto the ball.
Manager Haugenes said: "I thought we played very well, both in defence
and attack and with a little bit of luck we could have been two or three
goals up in the first half.
"I’m really pleased to get through to the next stage and hopefully
we’ll get a good draw for the semi-final."
No other quarter-finals have yet been played.
The victory against Everton puts Fulham in line for an FA Cup and Premier
League Cup double with their fifth victory of the season over National
Division opponents.
The Cottagers reached April's final of the Premier League Cup by beating
holders Arsenal at the semi-final stage.
They have also overcome Leeds United, Charlton Athletic and Southampton
Saints in the women's game's major Cup competitions.
