Referee Kevin Friend started refereeing at the age of 14 in his home county of Leicestershire.
He was promoted to the National List of Referees in 2003, and later to the Select Group of Referees ahead of the 2009-10 season. His first Premier League fixture was in September 2009:
a 2-1 victory for Wolves over Fulham.
Ref Friend last bossed a Fulham game in February 2016 when Fulham beat Charlton 3-0 at the Cottage in the Championship.
Earlier that season Mr Friend bossed Fulham when they beat QPR 4-0.
Exeter last had the pleasure of Mr Friend company back in February 2009 in a League Two game.
Last season he reffed 33 games, dished out 66 yellows, so an unsually low average of 2 yellows per game and a below average 1 red.
His busiest game in recent times was the 2-2 draw between Palace and Bournemouth in December last year when he yellow carded five Palace players and two from Bournemouth.
