Ref Mike Dean, from Heswall in The Wirrall, Cheshire, began refereeing in 1985.
He progressed to officiate in the Northern Premier League as a referee, becoming a Football League assistant referee in 1995 and being promoted to the full referees' list in 1997. He joined the Select Group of Premiership referees in 2000 and was also admitted to the FIFA referee list in 2003.
Ref Dean has been present at a number of key moments in Fulham's recent history.
He was in-charge of the game against Wolves which ended our record breaking 10 game winning run in 1999-2000, he was in-charge of our first Premiership home game, and various other adventures like when we beat Fulham Broadway and they got four yellows and a red and the rumble at The Hawthorns.
The last time Mr Dean reffed Fulham was on the 12th April 2014 in a 1-0 home win against Norwich when he booked three Norwich players and Kasami of Fulham.
Crystal Palace last had the pleasure of being reffed by Mr Dean earlier this year in April when they beat Leicester 5-0. He yellow carded Cabaye of Palace and Silva of Leicester while sending off Albrighton of Leicester in the 58th minute.
Last season he refed 30 games and dished out 113 yellows and 4 reds, an average rate of just 3.8 yellows per game so not too bad.
