Referee Andy Davies, former player with Portsmouth, Gillingham and Yeovil had to stop playing through injury at the age of twenty- eight so turned to refereeing in 2003. He has made rapid progress and reached the National List in August 2012 and since then has refereed over 100 EFL matches.

In 2016 he became part of the Select Group 2 Referees and will now be employed on a full time basis

Ref Davis has reffed two Fulham games, the most recent of which was, the 3-2 defeat of Leyton Orient in the first round of the EFL Cup, back in August, and in April 2015 the 1-1 home draw with Rotherham.

The last time Ref Davis reffed a Bristol City game was in their 2-3 home defeat by Derby County in April 2016.

Last season he officiated at 36 matches issuing 127 yellow cards and 5 reds, some 3.5 yellows per game.
