Referee Paul Tierney was promoted to the Select Group of Referees ahead of the 2015/16 season after a successful seven years on the National List.
The Lancashire FA official became a member of the National Group of Referees ahead of the 2009/10 campaign, with Macclesfield Town against Notts County on the opening weekend of the League Two season being the first fixture he refereed.
Ref Tierney last refed Fulham in the 2-0 win at Ipswich in August and had a quiet game issuing just one yellow card.
Ref Tierney previously refed Fulham last season, in the 4-1 FA Cup home win against Hull. He booked five players, three from Fulham McDonald (36,f), Johansen (74,f) and Kalas (86,f).
The last time Ref Tierney refed a Millwall game was in their 2-0 away defeat against Bolton in
November 2016. He booked a player from each team.

His busiest game last season was the Football League Trophy 0-0 draw between
