Referee Tony Harrington began refereeing in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance at the age of 14 years old, having completed the basic referee course whilst at school as part of the Duke of Edinburgh award.

After 4 years as an EFL Assistant Referee and 4 years as a National League Referee Tony was appointed to the EFL referee list in 2012/13 and has now refereed over 100 EFL matches. He is now part of the new elite Select Group 2 of full-time referees to officiate at Sky Bet Championship matches.

The last time Ref Harrington bossed Fulham was earlier this season in September when we drew 1-1 at home to Cardiff and seven players were booked, four from Fulham, Mollo (29,arg), McDonald (70,f), Johansen (71,f) and Button (82,tw)

Mr Harrington has bossed Fulham games in September three seasons running.

Last year when we lost 1-0 at home to Birmingham. Ref Harrington booked Madl (26,f), Odoi (54,f) and then sent off Madl (44,2nd yel). Harrington gave a penalty against Madl and a yellow card, for a foul in the area in the 25th minute which Button saved. However following a foul by Ayite in the 49th minute a second penalty was converted, Ayite escaped a caution.

In 2015/2016 season Mr Harrington bossed Fulham when we won 2-1 at home to Blackburn. Ref Harrington booked five players, just one from Fulham O'Hara (76,f), four of the five cards were issued within a seven minute period. He also gave a penelty for Blackburn after a foul by Husband who escaped a yellow card.

Mr Harrington last reffed Birmingham City in August of this year when they were beaten 2-1 away at Burton, only one player was booked the Burton keeper.

Last season he refed 34 games and dished out 121 yellows and 4 reds, so an average 3.6 yellows per game. So far this season he has refed 19 games and issued 63 yellows, so an average of 3.3, and 3 reds.

His busiest game this season, so far, was a League Cup game between Wolves and Bristol Rovers back in September when he booked four players from each side and sent off a Rovers player in the 119th minute.
