FULHAM have emerged as hot favourites to sign Rangers defender Michael Ball. Manager Chris Coleman is desperate to sign a left-sided defender before the transfer window slams shut.
The Premiership club have contacted Ball’s representatives in the last 48 hours to re-ignite their interest. Ball, who was signed by Rangers for £6.5m in August 2001, has made just six appearances for the Glasgow club this season.
An offer for the 25-year-old is expected before the closure of the January transfer window.
His agent, Blair Morgan, said: "Fulham are interested in signing Michael. I would not be at all surprised if they follow up their interest by close of business on Monday."
