Andrejs Stolcers debut at Hawthrons

last updated Thursday 07th December 2000, 7:21 PM
Andrejs Stolcers will make his debut for Fulham at West Brom on Saturday after completing his £2million transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Latvian international striker arrived at Craven Cottage on Monday but Fulham feared clearance from the Ukraine would not arrive in time for him to play this weekend.

However, those fears have proved unfounded and Stolcers has now been given the all-clear to play at The Hawthorns.

His work permit arrived at the start of the week and papers arrived from the Ukraine on Wednesday. He is now included in Jean Tigana’s squad and is likely to start on the bench.
