ANDY JOHNSON has vowed to endure the daily agony caused by his horror collarbone injury in order to rescue Fulham's season.
The Cottagers' forward line has managed only one league goal between them so far and Johnson feels he must play through the pain to keep his side on track.
He said: "I've done as much damage as I could possibly do to that area. I've dislocated the joint and snapped all six ligaments.
"I came back two or three weeks early but I was desperate to play. It's still giving me stick but I need to just put it at the back of my mind. In the Everton game I took a knock and for five or six days after it was painful. It's something I need to get used to."
If Fulham are beaten by fellow strugglers West Ham today, Roy Hodgson's side will be leapfrogged by their London neighbours.
Johnson added: "West Ham is a massive game. It's time for us to step up to the plate.
"As a team we know we don't create as many chances and score as many goals as we should."
