Fulham's Welsh stars Andy Melville and Kit Symons have been called to the Wales squad for their World Cup double header against Poland and Ukraine in June along with possible Fulham transfer target Tranmere youngster Jason Koumas.

Koumas is also eligible to play for Cyprus and England, but he was born in Wrexham, and following months discussions with Wales manager Mark Hughes had decided to commit himself to his homeland.

Andy is a regular in the Welsh defence should start again in both games. This means unfortunately that Kit is likely to be stuck on the subs bench again.

There is no place for veteran striker Dean Saunders who has retired from international football after a 15-year international career.

Saunders set a new caps record as an outfield player in the match with Armenia in March but has not been a regular in the Bradford side this term and now will not add to his 74 caps in June.
