Northern Ireland international Chris Baird is facing an uncertain future with Fulham according to Skysports.com
The versatile 29-year-old, who can play anywhere across the defence or in a holding midfield role, was not involved in Saturday's Premier League season opener against Aston Villa.
Baird was an unused substitute for the 0-0 draw at Craven Cottage and it appears that he is not part of new manager Martin Jol's immediate first-team plans.
The former Southampton player did feature in the early rounds of the Europa League before slipping down the pecking order for the beginning of top-flight hostilities.
Baird had been a regular for the Cottagers over the past two seasons under Roy Hodgson and Mark Hughes and his situation could alert a number of other clubs in the top-flight.
The opportunity to play regular football is sure to appeal to Baird but any deal would need to be concluded swiftly with the transfer window closing at the end of the month.
