Fulham welcome back player-coach
John
Collins, who came through a midweek reserve game unscathed.
The former Scottish international has been out for three months with a hamstring
problem, making a brief, unsuccessful, return to action at West Brom 12 matches
ago.
Striker
Barry
Hayles has also been cleared to play after missing the last six games
with an ankle injury. That gives manager Jean Tigana a selection headache up front
with
Louis Saha,
Luis
Boa Morte,
Karl-Heinz
Riedle and
Peter
Moller all available as well.
Jean Tigana will be without
Rufus
Brevett, who is suspended, as his side look for a fifth away win in
six games.
Nicolas
Sahnoun may deputise.
The Barnsley squad is full of confidence following last weekend's draw at in form
Blackburn Rovers and the team are looking forward to a crack at the league leaders.
Barnsley will again be without defender Chris Morgan when they attempt to avenge
their 5-1 mauling at the hands of Fulham in September. Morgan sits out the second
game of a three-match suspension and should again be replaced by youngster Carl
Regan in the defence which kept a clean sheet to earn their first point in five
matches at Blackburn last weekend.
That was the first point under new manager Nigel Spackman, who will include recent
signing from the Cottagers, Steve Hayward, who is looking forward to tomorrow's
home debut as such an occasion is always special for any player, especially so
for Steve as it comes against his former club.
With no fresh injury worries manager Nigel Spackman may opt for the same eleven
who started the match at Ewood Park. However, for virtually the first time since
taking the helm he actually has a selection poser. Mitch Ward is now fit after
his lay-off and came on as a substitute against Blackburn.
Ward is eager to prove
his fitness from the start although he may again have to be content with a place
on the bench. Brian O'Callaghan looks set to continue in the centre of defence
and will be boosted by his call up yesterday to the Irish youth sqaud.
