Barry Hayles says the reason he and his strike partner Louis
Saha can’t stop scoring is because his team are creating so many chances for them
to tuck away.
Speaking after Fulham’s latest
victory at Craven Cottage earlier this afternoon Hayles said:“There
are so many chances being created by the rest of the team. It makes life easier
for Louis and myself up front.“If it wasn’t
for their goalkeeper today, who had a great game, we could have had a lot more.
We thought we’d got around him on a few occasions but he did well to be fair.”Hayles, who hit his 6th and 7th
goals of the season against Gillingham added:“The
Boss just sends us out to express ourselves and to enjoy the game. I guess I might
not have tried some of the things I do now last season. But we are encouraged
to express ourselves.
“Maybe my second goal was
the best I have scored for Fulham. I’ll have to watch the video tonight to see.
”Talking about his new partner Louis Saha Hayles said:“Louis English is fairly good now. But we just express
ourselves on the pitch in play. The boss just says ‘play it on the ground’ and
that’s about it really. There’s no secret to it, Louis is really quick and that
helps. We tend to play each other in.
”Hayles
finished by sending out a chilling message to the rest of the first division adding:
just can’t see anyone beating us at the moment.
