Fulham striker Barry Hayles goes into the match
against Everton on Saturday with a warning from manager Jean Tigana to turn
down the volume.
Hayles, who arrived in the Premiership via non-league, has signed a one-year
extension to his current deal.
While Tigana appreciates the work his player puts in, he is concerned
about other aspects of his game.

Hayles said: "The boss thinks I talk too much and I should just concentrate
on my game. He thinks I'm quite aggressive and should simply play football.
"But for me it is a way of geeing myself up and aggression is part
of my game. I admit I like to talk on the pitch because it keeps me involved
in what's going on.
"I've tried to tell the manager what I think is best for me but
he still wants me to be less aggressive and keep my mouth shut more.
"At least I can talk to him and I think he realises that it's a
big part of what makes me the player I am."
Hayles has hit six goals so far and aims to keep up his impressive start.
"I'm happy with the way things are going but I wouldn't say I've
cracked it. Every player has things they can add to their game and I'm
no different," he said.
"I think I can improve my awareness in the box, which is perhaps not
so good because I did not turn professional until a relatively late stage."
