MILAN star Oliver Bierhoff has admitted that
only Marseille have offered him an interesting deal, but also hinted that
he would like Fulham to make a fresh bid to lure him to The Premiership.
Bierhoff looks to be on his way out of Milan after his place in the starting
line-up has become increasingly less assured.
The big-money arrival of Filippo Inzaghi has made Bierhoff's already tentative
grip on a place in Fatih Terim's side even weaker, and the German international
is appraising his options.
"I have received only one interesting proposal," said Bierhoff
from Holland, where he was playing for Milan in the Amsterdam tournament.
"That offer is from Marseille, but Fulham are also interested in me,
so we'll see
"
Marseille have offered the powerful 33-year-old a reputed four-year deal,
and it appears that the marksman is hoping that Fulham boss Jean Tigana
is prepared to at least come close to matching this offer so that he can
make a move to the more glamorous Premiership.
