Fulham striker Bobby Zamora has been recalled to the England squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro in Podgorica on Friday.
Zamora has represented England only once, coming on against Hungary last year.
There are no recalls for Steven Gerrard or Rio Ferdinand.
As England pursue the sole Euro 2012 qualifying point they need in Podgorica, Zamora joins a well-stocked strike-force also including the Manchester United pair of Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck.
Andy Carroll is beginning to find his range for Liverpool while Darren Bent's sharpness in front of goal was seen with Aston Villa against Wigan Athletic. Bent's club-mate, Gabriel Agbonlahor, has not been selected.
"I've got a back problem which I'm going to get sorted during the international break,'' said Agbonlahor.
Agbonlahor's old Villa team-mate, Kyle Walker, is deservedly included amongst the defenders, and not simply because of his winning goal for Spurs in front of Capello at White Hart Lane yesterday.
Walker is enjoying a fine season, and also prospered for the under-21s during their largely limp European Championship displays in Denmark. Walker hopes to see off Micah Richards to be Capello's first-choice No 2 in Podgorica.
At centre-half, Phil Jones's inexorable rise continues while Gary Cahill is able to put his Bolton Wanderers' travails briefly to one side and build on the good impression he made in England's last two internationals.
Fresh from his hat-trick against Cahill's defence, Frank Lampard should meet up with England in good heart, perhaps allowing himself a quiet smile after all the speculation that he was heading only for international retirement.
Without Gerrard, Jack Wilshere and Tom Cleverley, England are not overwhelmed with central options, only Lampard, Gareth Barry and Scott Parker. James Milner can play there. Out wide, England have Stewart Downing, Adam Johnson, Theo Walcott and Ashley Young.
