Fulham's Carlos Bocanegra believes Eddie Johnson has all the attributes to be a top Premier League player.

Bocanegra knows all about Fulham's new signing having played alongside him on the international scene since 2004 and the American was quick to highlight exactly what Johnson will bring to the team.

"Eddie's good. He's explosive and has the pace to get behind the defence . He's got a good eye for goal and finishes his chances well," Bocanegra told the club's official website.

"He's not only good on the ground but he gets up and heads the ball which is another attribute and he should be good for us.

"We've had so many games lately the new guys haven't had a full week's training with us yet but they all look pretty solid and look like they can help us out."

Fulham face Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday looking for their first away win since September 2006, but Bocanegra believes his side can take confidence from their victory against the Trotters earlier on in the season.

The American said: "Bolton are going to be physical and they've got forwards that can flick the ball on. They do a good job playing to their style. We beat them earlier in the season for one of our wins so we can draw on that. Firstly we've got to get a few wins and build our points tally."
