Carlos Bocanegra

Fulham defender Carlos Bocanegra was the only Europe-base player selected when U.S. coach Bruce Arena announced his 18-man roster Thursday for a March 13 exhibition game against Haiti.

Normally he would be required to play for Fulham against Leeds in the Premiership but that game is the last of his three game British suspension.

Forwards Landon Donovan, Jovan Kirovski and Ante Razov were picked for the game in Miami. Seventeen players come from Major League Soccer, including three each from Chicago, Los Angeles and the MetroStars.

It will be the third game this year for the Americans, who tied Denmark 1-1 and lost to the Netherlands 1-0. The U.S. team, preparing for the start of World Cup qualifying in June, also will play an exhibition game at Poland on March 31 and probably will play Mexico at Dallas in late April.

The Roster:

Goalkeepers: Kevin Hartman (Los Angeles), Jonny Walker (New York/New Jersey)

Defenders: Carlos Bocanegra (Fulham), Dan Califf (Los Angeles), Cory Gibbs (Dallas), Ritchie Kotschau (Colorado), Eddie Pope (New York/New Jersey)

Midfielders: Chris Armas (Chicago), DaMarcus Beasley (Chicago), Bobby Convey (D.C. United), Pablo Mastroeni (Colorado), Richard Mulrooney (San Jose), Pat Noonan (New England), Steve Ralston (New England)

Forwards: Landon Donovan (San Jose), Jovan Kirovski (Los Angeles), Ante Razov (Chicago), John Wolyniec (New York/New Jersey).
