Werder Bremen defensive midfielder Leon Andreasen
appears poised for a move to English side Fulham.
Bremen look set to lose another midfielder this week.
After the departure of Carlos Alberto to Sao Paulo and the announcement that Tim
Borowski will be joining Bayern Munich in the summer, comes the news that Dane Leon
Andreasen is set to move to Fulham.
Negotiations between the two clubs are reportedly at an advanced stage with Werder
prepared to release the 6ft 1in midfielder if the price is right.
Werder want €4 million for the Danish international, who was also attracting interest
from Hannover last summer and with new manager Roy
Hodgson being given funds by
Chairman Mohamed Al Fayed, that doesn’t appear to be a stumbling block.
Neither Andreasen or his advisor Ivan Benes have been prepared to confirm or deny
the story that has appeared in both the Danish and German press.
Andreasen joined Werder in 2005 from Aarhus for €1.6 million. He has 8 caps for the Danish national side.
