Fulham chairman Mohamed Al Fayed is ready to wager £50,000 on Fulham scoring three goals against Manchester United in the FA Cup third round.
The flamboyant owner is confident his side, who face Liverpool in the Worthington Cup quarter-final tomorrow, will perform even better against United than they did two seasons ago.
As a Second Division side, they lost at OldTrafford to a single Andy Cole goal in the FA Cup fifth round.
Al Fayed said:'When we played them a couple of years ago, they only scored one against us. This time we'll score three. How much do I want to bet? £50,000.
'To play Manchester United at Craven Cottage will bring great prestige to Fulham, at the same time as a great challenge.
'It will be a fantastic test for the players, the manager and everyone at the club because we want to be the Manchester United of the south. It is a great pleasure to see a club I brought back from the dead come so far.'
