The Japanese star has been in and out of the Londoners' side this term, but remains popular with his loyal band of supporters, and is an enthusiastic member of the squad.
Jean Tigana's exit has left things rather up in the air at the capital club, and Chievo are striving to take advantage by clinching a deal for next season with J-League outfit Osaka.
President Luca Campedelli and director Giovanni Sartori are believed to have contacted Osaka, although it is not known whether the Verona-based side are plotting a loan deal or permanent swoop.
The 23-year-old has scored twice in The Premiership this season, and performed superbly in Europe for The Cottagers.
After leaving Arsenal due to his frustration at a lack of first team opportunities, a move away from London might be the next option for Inamoto.
Chievo were close to signing the midfielder before he started his English adventure.
