Fulham midfielder John Collins has labelled his team's disappointing start to the season as inexcusable.
The Scottish international believes six points from as many matches is not good enough for a side that has spent so much on quality players.
He said: "We should be taking more points from matches. Last week's 0-0 draw against Leicester was very disappointing.
"We should be getting results with the team we have got. But we are taking our foot off the pedal in the second half."
Former Everton player Collins, who moved to Craven Cottage for £2.5 million in 1998, says his team's record of just one win this season is not good enough if they want to stay in the Premiership.
He said: "We have had four draws, which is not good. We need to be taking three points from sides like Derby and Charlton, who we both drew against.
"We've got to start taking more chances. We're working hard in training, but we haven't taken that spirit on to the pitch.
"It is disappointing, and frankly inexcusable."
Meanwhile transfer-listed Paul Trollope is set to start for the reserves tonight against Wimbledon.
The 29-year-old is looking to once again be in contention for the first team, having not seen action since Fulham's rise to the top flight.
