Coventry have revealed they are still hopeful of taking Fulham's John Collins on loan.
Coventry revealed on their website that negotations between the two clubs have re-opened and that Collins may join in time for Saturday's game against Watford.
Last week Coventry manager Gary McAllister's bid to sign former Scotland teammate John Collins had ended in failure.
An Everton player before joining Fulham in 2000, he started his career at Hibernian before moving to Celtic and then Monaco playing with current City defender Mo Konjic at the latter.
The Sky Blues boss had identified the Fulham veteran - frozen out by Cottagers boss Jean Tigana - as the man to provide a creative spark in City's midfield.
Collins' only taste of Premiership action with the struggling Londoners this season has been in the form of two substitute appearances.
Collins turned down a move to Coventry's promotion rivals Nottingham Forest last month.
