Fulham winger Damien Duff is set for a sensational international return with the Republic of Ireland.
Although the 33-year-old Fulham winger will not be named in Giovanni Trapattoni's squad to face Poland today, he is ready to make himself available for the resumption of the Irish World Cup qualifying campaign next month.
Duff's availability for those World Cup qualifiers will be a timely lift to Ireland's prospects of progressing to the finals in Brazil. The Dubliner made the 'very difficult' call to announce his retirement in August but has since had a rethink.
