Fulham midfielder Danny Murphy is set to snub the advances of QPR and sign a new contract at Fulham and help the club's transformation under Martin Jol.
Contract talks have been dragging on amid fears the influential midfielder would be released this summer.
And former Fulham boss Mark Hughes was thought to be keen to tempt the midfielder across West London to QPR with the prospect of a coaching role at the club once he hangs up his boots.
But Murphy, 35, said he expects to sign a new deal at Craven Cottage, he said: 'I have spoken to the club a couple of times but there's no great urgency with me because I'm happy and they are happy with me. I'd be surprised if it didn't get sorted.'
Murphy added: 'The squad is as good as it's been. You can take three or four out and put three or four in and not worry.'
