Ex-Fulham midfielder Sean Davis is ready to end his Tottenham exile by asking for a loan move.
Davis, 26, is yet to feature in a Premiership game for Martin Jol's side this season and his only first-team action came as a substitute in the Carling Cup exit at Grimsby.
He joined Spurs from London rivals Fulham in July 2004 but made just a handful of appearances as injuries wrecked his first term at White Hart Lane.
Jol, who has an astonishing NINE other senior midfielders to choose from, is happy to let Davis and fellow fringe players look elsewhere for regular football.
The Dutchman said: "In midfield we have too many players.
"If they don't play they can always ask if they can go on loan and come back as better players.
"If it is difficult at our club maybe it is better to go on loan."
