Former Fulham defender Knight worries about Zamora Former Fulham defender Zat Knight's delight for Bobby Zamora has quickly turned to despair.

The Wanderers defender was overjoyed Zamora won his first England cap against Hungary in midweek.

But Knight is worried the Fulham striker's international success will have put him in buoyant mood ahead of this afternoon's Reebok opener.

"I was over the moon for him," said Knight, who has recovered from a hip injury to take on one of his former clubs.

"He did well for Fulham last season and there was a lot of speculation about him going to the World Cup.

"I thought he did well for England and looked sharp. He's got better as a player and grown in confidence.

"The down side for us is that he's just got his first cap and we've got to play against him. He'll be on a high." Zamora became only the second Fulham player since 1966 World Cup hero George Cohen to play for England - the other was Knight.

The 30-year-old centre half won two caps on the national team's tour of America in 2005 and he can't wait to lock horns with a player who blasted 19 goals for the Cottagers last season.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge," said Knight.

"He's in form and you want to test yourself against the best, and now he's playing for England he can be classed as one of those."
