Kit Symons has stepped down from his role on the coaching staff at Crystal Palace following the arrival of Neil Warnock as manager.
Former Eagles defender Symons was first-team coach under previous boss Peter Taylor and took caretaker charge until Warnock's appointment last Thursday.
Warnock, who replaced the axed Taylor, has brought in his own staff of Keith Curle and Mick Jones, and said last week: "I am hoping to speak to Kit, I have always had a lot of respect for him. I do feel I need one or two of my own men."
A statement on the club's official website read: "The club would like to thank Kit for his efforts both as player and coach since joining in December 2001 and wish him all the best for the future."
