According to various reports in the papers, ambitious First Division leaders Fulham are planning to raid Charlton Athletic for their young defender Paul Konchesky.
The 19-year-old will cost Fulham boss Jean Tigana something in the region of £1 million but Fulham are keeping the player firmly in their sights, despite the vastly inflated fee for a player who has struggled to keep a regular place in the Charlton side.
The talented Konchesky was the youngest player to ever break into the Addicks senior side but he has found it hard to keep his place in the first-team and more often than not, has found himself on the bench for Charlton.
Sources are suggesting that the young defender is keen to get his career going by moving on, and has handed in a transfer request to Charlton manager Alan Curbishley.
