Fulham have completed the transfer of Facundo Sava from Gimnasia
La Plata, as Jean Tigana looks to give his squad additional firepower for
next season.
The Cottagers were amongst the lowest scorers in The Premiership, with
just 36 from 38 league games and Sava should help his fellow scorers secure
more room.

Known as something of a physical target-man, Sava showed his goalscoring
touch in Gimnasia's impressive attempt on La Clausura competition, which
they lost out to River Plate.
Sava arrives in his prime and with an Italian passport and will not require
a work permit.
In 1990, the 28-year-old started his career with Ferrocarril
Oeste before a transfer to Argentinian giants Boca Juniors four years
later saw him hit the limelight, but despite playing over 50 games for
the club, a lack of regualar scoring saw him move onto Gimnasia.
With the La Plata side he showed his true form and established himself
as a consistent threat. He is also famous for his bizarre goalscoring
celebrations, which have included masks and props!
Argentina's current economic plight means that many a bargain are available
in the country and Fulham have snapped up Sava on a four-year deal.
Speaking about the move, Sava said "I am extremely happy to have come
to England to sign for Fulham football club. The move is a big step for
me and I will try to give my best for the team."
Fulham director of corporate affairs Chester Stern added: "We are
delighted to have completed the first signing of the new season which
will undoubtedly strengthen the squad."
Sava top scored for La Plata last season with 12 goals.
