Fulham defender Brede Hangeland says his side will make no special plans to stop Spanish superstar Fernando Torres at Liverpool on Sunday.

The towering Fulham defender is likely to be charged with stopping the deadly Kop hero, who has still cracked 20 goals this season in an injury-plagued campaign.

But Hangeland insists that his side will persist with the same defensive approach that has yielded no Premier League wins on the road since the opening day of the season against a striker rated by many as the best in the world.

"Against any opposition, we try and keep a compact shape and a short space between our players," he said.

"And that is even more important against someone like Torres because you cannot go one on one against one of the best strikers in the world.

"Few people would disagree that he is a first class striker and we will have to do very well to keep him out."
