Fulham defender Stephen Kelly has paid tribute to the army of Fulham fans who made the trip to Manchester last weekend and faced a truly testing return journey South in the snow.
Fulham's players returned by coach, arriving at Motspur Park training ground at 3am, and the Republic of Ireland international thanked the "fantastic" supporters who backed the Team at the Etihad.
"It was horrible," said Kelly of Saturday's journey back to SW6. "For us it was bad and I'm sure for the fans it was even worse.
"It was a terrible journey back obviously because of the snow, everybody's plans went out the window for travelling and the journey took twice as long as it probably normally would. The main thing was that hopefully all the fans got back safe and nobody was injured.
"You have to hold your hats off for the people making that journey, it's a long way to go and in the conditions they did it in was fantastic support. Even at the end of the game they were waiting for us which was amazing so you've got to hold your hat off to them and applaud them for that and hopefully they all got home safe."
