Fulham drawn away in FA Cup

last updated Sunday 30th November 2008, 8:35 PM
The Third Round of the 2008/2009 F.A. Cup competition was drawn out of the "hat" on Sunday and Fulham were given a bit of a poor draw.

FA Cup
The Cottagers were drawn away to the 12th placed Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.

Wednesday and Fulham have not played each other since The Cottagers were promoted to the Premiership but before that Fulham found it difficult to get a win against The Owls.

In the 10 games that the two clubs played between 2000/2001 and 1974/1975 Fulham won 2, drew 4 and lost 4 with both wins taking place at Craven Cottage.

Although The Owls away form is not good at home at Hillsborough stadium they have lost just twice in ten games scoring 13 and shipping 6.

So another trip up to the artic north for The Whites against fairly tough Championship opposition with the extra help that it will take place just after the Christmas/New Year holiday.
Ties will be played weekend of January 3
