Eleven World Cup veterans headline the U.S. roster that will face Brazil this weekend.

The U.S. National Team will have most of their A-team to face Brazil on September 9, as Bob Bradley named a roster filled with 14 European-based players and 11 World Cup veterans to face the five-time World Cup champions in Chicago.

Fulham FC sends the duo of Carlos Bocanegra and Clint Dempsey, while Everton sends goalkeeper Tim Howard, who has posted 10 shutouts in 23 career games for the U.S. Other players from teams in England include West Ham United defender Jonathan Spector, who is from from Arlington Heights, Ill., and Watford defender Jay DeMerit, who played at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Glasgow Rangers midfielder DaMarcus Beasley has three goals and three assists for the Americans in 2007. He’ll be joined by fellow Chicago Fire alumni Josh Wolff, who currently plays for 1860 Munich in Germany. He hasn’t played for the U.S. since last summer’s World Cup.

On the defensive side, veterans Steve Cherundolo and Oguchi Onyewu are joined by left back Heath Pearce and right back Frankie Simek. An experienced group of midfielders also includes Bobby Convey and Michael Bradley, both of whom played in the 1-0 loss to Sweden two weeks ago.

The U.S., which began training in Chicago on Monday, will also feature 13 players from the side that won the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup in the Windy City this past June.

"The schedule this year has included some great challenges, and playing against Brazil is another outstanding opportunity for this group,” said Bradley, who is 10-4-1 in his first year as manager. “We have a good mix of players in camp, and are excited about the chance to play against one of the best teams in the world. It’s great to be back in Chicago for a match of this caliber. It should be an exciting afternoon.”

Donovan leads a group of five players from Major League Soccer. He enters this match with 34 career international goals, which ties him with former U.S. international Brian McBride for first on the all-time leaderboard. He is joined on the domestic side by two Kansas City Wizards attackers -- Davy Arnaud and Eddie Johnson. Johnson is currently tied for first place on the MLS scoring chart with 14 goals. Arnaud, meanwhile, is one of two players on the roster without a cap, joined by Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Chris Seitz.
