Fulham striker Barry Hayles, thought to be unavailable for the Cottager's
next game away at Sunderland, after exceeding 5 cautions, has received an
unexpected reprieve.
The latest official list of suspensions issued by the F.A., and noted below,
states that Bazza is suspended from the 22/01/02 not the 19/01/02 as previously
thought.
Fulham FC
B HAYLES Suspended from ALL FIRST TEAM FOOTBALL until the Club have completed
1 FIRST TEAM MATCH from 22/01/2002 for 5/10/15 Cautions
It appears that the F.A. does not recognise one the yellow cards registered
against Barry by other sources such as the PFA.
The good news for Fulham is that club top goal scorer Hayles will be available
for the vital Premiership away game at the Stadium of Light. With Louis
Saha recieving a broken nose in the Wycombe game Jean Tigana will be happy
to have additional attacking options in his efforts to take three points
from Sunderland.
The game that Bazza will now miss is the F.A. Cup game at York.
