Fulham's Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer is the top target for a proposed new A-League side to be based at Sydney's ANZ Stadium.
The consortium behind Premier State FC are due to meet Football Federation Australia officials on Wednesday and outline their plans to join the A-League in the 2010/11 season, when the competition will be expanded to 12 clubs.
Premier State believe Schwarzer could help them develop links with local clubs and fans.
'You could not ask for a better front man or ambassador,' said a Premier State spokesman.
