Royston Drenthe |
Fulham are eyeing a move for Real Madrid ace Royston Drenthe, skysports.com understands.
Drenthe has been told he can leave Real as he does not figure in Jose Mourinho's plans at El Santiago Bernabeu.
The Dutchman was not included in Real's squad for their opening Primera Liga clash at Real Mallorca at the weekend.
French side Monaco were believed to be keen on signing the versatile left sider, but Drenthe is thought to have rejected a move to the Principality.
The news has alerted Fulham boss Mark Hughes who could now offer Drenthe an escape route out of Madrid.
Hughes is keen to bolster his squad before the close of the transfer window and Drenthe's versatility in that he can play at left-back as well as left wing makes him an attractive proposition.
