Premier League side Fulham have failed in their bid to sign Middlesbrough striker Jeremie Aliadiere - according to a report from Sky Sports.
The former Arsenal man looked set for a move back to London, taking up residence at Craven Cottage as back-up for injured hitman Andy Johnson.
Unfortunately for Roy Hodgson's side, the deal to sign the 26-year-old on loan until January has fallen through due to 'Boro's failure to capture Derby County striker Rob Hulse.
It was suggested that Fulham would have signed the player with a view to offering him a permanent deal if he performed well at the club.
However, a Fulham spokesman later insisted that a deal for the Frenchman was "not in place".
