Fulham sign Irish youngster Sean Kavanagh

Fulham beat the transfer deadline to sign Irish youngster Sean Kavanagh according to Skysports.

The 17-year-old arrives at Fulham from Belvedere FC of the Dublin & District Soccer League.

Belvedere have a reputation for developing promising young players with the likes of Mark Kennedy, Keith Treacy, Wes Hoolahan and Stephen Kelly starting their careers there before moving to England.

The talented defender has impressed Fulham's scouting team and they have decided to sign him for an undisclosed fee.

Kavanagh, who has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under 17 level, is expected to link up with Fulham's academy so that he can continue his development before being considered for first-team action.
