Fulham have signed French midfielder Sylvain
Legwinski from Bordeaux, according to French TV channel Canal Plus.
Legwinski was in the Monaco side managed by Cottagers' coach Jean Tigana
that won the French title in 1997.
According to reports, he passed a medical exam at the London club on Tuesday
and is available for their second match of the season against Sunderland
on Wednesday.
Legwinski, 28, has scored 14 goals in 142 French first division matches
from his defensive midfield position.
If the signing is confirmed he will be Fulham's fourth French player joining
defender Alain Goma, midfielder Steed Malbranque and striker Louis Saha.
Fulham also bid 12.5 million-dollars for French international striker Steve
Marlet on Monday, which was rejected by his club side Lyon |
