HE ONLY signed a new deal in the summer, but Danny Murphy is already planning a career in management when he hangs up his boots.
The Fulham skipper still has 18 months to run on his contract at Craven Cottage, and wants to carry on playing as long as he can.
But the 32-year-old has already started his coaching badges, and hopes to have his UEFA B licence by the end of the season.
And he admits he wants a place in the dugout when he finally calls it a day.
He said: "In an ideal world, of course I'd love to go into the coaching side of it, but I think I've got a few more years left to play.
"I've started the ball rolling on my badges, and I'm moving forward with that.
"But I don't want to get too preoccupied because it can take your focus off playing, even though it is an area I'd like to delve into in the future.
"I've got to make sure I prioritise myself for playing every week because, at the moment, every manager and coach will tell you they'd rather be playing than coaching, and I'm still the same."
