Fulham striker Barry Hayles has warned boss Jean Tigana that he could quit the club
in the summer if he is forced out of the first-team picture by new signings.
Hayles was dropped for Monday's 1-1 draw at Newcastle and believes it
will be "tough" to win back his place for Sunday's FA Cup semi-final
clash with Chelsea.
"I was a bit surprised to be left out on Monday, but the manager
chops and changes the side," he said.
"We've got a decent squad, although it doesn't look like that judging
by where we are in the league.
"We're going to bring in some new faces for next season, so that
would put me further down the list.
"I'd have to decide whether to stay doing what I am doing - battling
for a place - or move on.
"That will be a choice I make come the summer, and I'd also have
to see what the club would have to say about it. I've got two years left
on my contract after this season.
"I'm not 21 - I'm 30 on May 17 - so I want to be starting as many games
as possible."
