Fulham are expected to tie up a deal for Gimnasia La Plata
star Facundo Sava. If personal terms can be agreed and Jean Tigana can overcome
the traditional red tape problems involved in bringing South Americans to
The Premiership, 'Colorado' will be heading for West London.
A representative of the player's agent Juan Carlos Zamora has confirmed
that talks are at an advanced stage, and only final details remain before
the Argentinian completes his move to The Premiership.

"Sava has all but signed," said the source. "Final talks were going ahead
today [Wednesday]."
Target man Sava is a well respected player in the Argentine league and
his aerial ability is complimented by quick feet and an eye for goal.
Although Gimnasia were hopeful of receiving around $4 million for their
star man - it is understood that the final fee is somewhat less.
The former Boca Juniors man has attracted interest from the Italian league,
but it now seems certain that England will be his final destination.
Fulham had a mixed first season in The Premiership, and it is a lack
of goals that has been blamed for many of the on-field difficulties.
Sava fits the bill for a target man, and will be hopeful that he can
show his undisputed ability in the English top-flight.
Sava has been a regular scorer for his club, and has bagged 15 goals
in the 2002 Clausura, including three penalties. The 28-year-old is over
six-feet tall, and is renowned for his aerial ability.
Yet Argentinian sources insist the striker has many other strings to
his bow, as he is adept at playing with his back to goal, and works hard
outside of the penalty area.
The former Boca Juniors has previously attracted attention from Italy,
with an un-named Serie A side tabling a bid for his services back in November.
Tigana is keen to get his summer transfer business wrapped up swiftly this
time around, after the problems he encountered during the last pre-season
scramble, and Sava could be a surprise addition to the Londoners' ranks.
