Fulham defender Brede Hangeland believes Pavel Pogrebnyak has adapted to life at the club in "record time" and cannot see an end to his scoring streak.
The 28-year-old continued his superb start to life in the Barclays Premier League with a hat-trick in the 5-0 thrashing of relegation-threatened Wolves at Craven Cottage.
Pogrebnyak has now netted five goals in three appearances, which has left team-mate Hangeland struggling for superlatives.
"If it keep going like this who knows where it is going to end?" the Norway international said.
"I'm very happy for him.
"The goals are one thing, but he works so hard and that is what you want to see, especially as a defender.
"When you look at your strikers you just want them to run around like mad men and that is what they did today [Sunday], both of them.
"And for him to score three goals as well is impressive.
"
Pogrebnyak was drafted in on January transfer deadline day to fill the void left by Bobby Zamora's move to QPR.
Hangeland believes the Russia international shares some similar characteristics with the former Fulham favourite and predicts his partnership with Andrew Johnson will go from strength to strength.
"They have a few similar traits but he does run around a bit more," the centre-back said.
"He looks really fit and he looks as if he's adapted to the style of play here in record time, so all credit to him.
"[Pogrebnyak and Johnson] do look a strong partnership.
"It is the classic one - a big striker who can hold the ball up well and AJ just running in behind - he's in great form as well so I'm happy they're playing for my team at the moment.
"
Sunday's victory was Fulham's third on the bounce and sets them up nicely for next weekend's trip to struggling Aston Villa.
"I thought we played probably the best football of the season against Wolves," Hangeland added.
"Everything seemed to click.
"When we score first and we're at home and the opposition have to try and come forward a little bit it makes things easier for us.
"Against Wolves everything seemed to go well for us.
We got confidence from that so it was just a really good team performance.
"We have three wins in a row, so obviously we'll try and keep that going as long as we can.
"We're confident and we're in good form so we'll try and keep it going.
"
While Fulham are looking up the table, Wolves will be hoping for a change in fortunes when fellow relegation candidates Blackburn visit Molineux on Saturday.
Rovers jumped above their rivals after their heavy defeat, but manager Terry Connor backed his side to respond.
"It is difficult for the lads to play without pressure because of where we work in the league," he said.
"But they have shown they can perform under the pressure of being in this position and being in the bottom three.
"I don't think it makes that much difference at this stage of the season being in there because the players are well versed in playing under that pressure.
"Next week was always going to be an important game and we have to pick ourselves up and be ready to go again.
"I've always known there was going to be good days and bad days in this job.
"You have to try and react to both in the same way and just move on to the next game which for us is against Blackburn.
