Fulham Boss Jean Tigana rests Zat Knight after his performance against Southampton.

The French boss will instead call on his 33-year-old skipper to team up with Alain Goma in central defence.

Tigana revealed: "I will go with experience. Zat has made mistakes, so will have to come back into the team afterwards.

"His performance against Southampton was not very good. He's lost a bit of confidence.

"But we have to admit that all young players sometimes make mistakes. What you have to do is excuse the mistakes and work a bit more with him."

Tigana gave his side a double dressing-room roasting last week after the defeats against West Ham (1-0) and the Saints.

He admitted: "We've had a big problem with concentration in the last two games, conceding bad goals from long crosses or free-kicks.

"And it's not about being tired. The problem is in the players' heads, with their concentration. So we must keep our concentration for the whole game.

"We must forget our previous two performances as this a different competition, in a different country with different tactics.

"It's Europe now. And we're here to try and win, although a scoring draw would also be a good result."
