Fulham Manager Jean Tigana spoke about his future and player signings at a club press conference on Friday.
In response to reporters asking if he would be extending his contract, which runs out in June 2003, he replied "At the end of the season I come to the end of my contract. As a manager it's a difficult job to predict what will happen."
"I don't know if the chairman wants to keep me, I don't know if I will want to stay. It's a long way. "So it's difficult because I don't know what will happen."
"I need a meeting with my chairman about that."

Despite Fulham strongly denying the speculation Jean Tigana has already been named by Bookmakers as 6/1 third favourite to be the first manager to get the sack this season, with reports that he is unhappy with the appointment of Franco Baresi as Fayed's football advisor.
Manager Tigana, also claims that he probably needs at least four new players in order to make Fulham competitive in the Premier League.
'Many of my players hadn't played at this level last year. Now, I'll try and buy three or four more players so we can compete with the big teams,'
' I'm sure we'll play very well this season and finish about sixth or eighth.'
Jean Tigana revealed he lost out to Arsenal when trying to sign him on loan 18 months ago.
'I met the manager of Inamoto's club in Japan a year-and-a-half ago,' he said.
'I tried to take him on loan last year - but it's difficult to fight Arsene Wenger. Junichi didn't know I wanted him - but he's not a new discovery to me now.
'It will be easier for him to play for us than Arsenal, as they have a very big squad and high targets. He can play many, many games for us.'
Boss Tigana has also commented on the signing Martin Djetou, who he managed at Monaco.
'He's a good player who Parma paid a lot of money for a year ago,' said the Cottagers boss.
'I managed him for three years and it's possible for him to play very well. English football is for him.'
