Fulham boss Jean Tigana has revealed he is willing to let John Collins leave on a free transfer.
Collins admitted he would have to consider his future at the club after finding himself out-of-favour this season.
Tigana, who had Collins with him at Monaco, is a big fan of the former Scottish international and is willing to let him leave to get regular first team football.
"I understand John's position," added Tigana. "He wants to play in central midfield but not on the left and he has lots of competition.
"I need him because it is a long season and I hope he will stay, but if he wants to leave he is a special case. He is a great player, a great man and we have to find the best option for him."
