Fulham have insisted they have received no approach from Rangers after
midfielder Lee Clark claimed he was on his way to Ibrox
The 29-year-old said Rangers contacted him a few days ago and he expects
to complete his surprise move north of the border by Friday. But Fulham
have staunchly denied that, claiming there are no ongoing discussions
and there has been no approach from the Scottish Premier League outfit.
Former Newcastle and Sunderland star Clark told the Scottish Sun: "The first I heard about Rangers' interest was at the end of last week.
"Talks are continuing at the moment, and I hope everything will be sorted out by the end of the week.
"I have a problem with my Achilles just now and probably wouldn't pass a medical at the moment - but it should be sorted out by Friday.
"They are a big club; they have a great set-up and they are also pretty much guaranteed European football every year. I played against them when I was with Sunderland - in Ally McCoist's testimonial at Ibrox - and I was very impressed."
