Lee Clark aiming for Europe

Fulham midfielder Lee Clark
believes his team has the ability to secure a place in Europe next season.
The former Sunderland and Newcastle player, who signed for the Premiership
newcomers for £3m in 1999, says Jean Tigana will not be happy unless
his side breaks into European competition.

He said: "We have signed some top players,
and with them we can get into Europe.
"We can never be as big as, say, Arsenal, but I am sure we can be one
of the top teams in the Premiership.
"The players we have signed know what the gaffer wants - and that is
to be contenders for the top six.
"We have to take charge of our players, and create any chances we can
- but we can't be overconfident.
Clark, 28, missed the first three matches of this season due to an ankle
injury, but is confident he will feature heavily in the club's future.
He said: "I was disappointed not to play until the Charlton match.
But I was happy with how I played in the last two matches.
After Fulham's positive start to the season with a narrow loss to champions
Manchester United and a 2-0 win over Sunderland, Clark believes the team
lost momentum.
" I do think we should have beaten Charlton. We created chances, but
we couldn't finish.
"And the Worthington Cup match against Rochdale should have been an
easy win. I don't know if we got overconfident or not, but we should have
beaten them - everybody knows that."
