Fulham are believed to have slapped a £5million
price tag on Lee Clark in the attempt of ending any interest from Newcastle.
Clark has been linked with a move back to Newcastle in recent weeks and
despite just opening talks with the Cottagers over a new deal, is still
said to be keen on completing a move to rejoin his former club.
Clark's signing of a new deal with the Premiership new boys rests on whether
Bobby Robson submits a firm bid. If he does then it seems likely that Clark
would jump at the chance to return 'home'.
It remains to be seen whether Robson will be willing to stump up the £5million
that Fulham boss Jean Tigana is asking for.
